세종시보건소와 세종시정신건강복지센터가 지역 어르신들의 정신건강 증진과 우울증 예방을 위한 ‘2026년 노인 정신건강 사업’을 진행한다고 19일 밝혔다.
두 기관에 따르면 이번 사업은 어르신의 생활 현장을 직접 방문하는 현장 중심 프로그램으로, 관내 어르신 중 우울 고위험군을 조기에 발견·개입하고 지역사회와 연계해 지속적인 지원이 이뤄질 수 있도록 구성했다.
먼저, 오는 4월부터 관내 노인복지센터와 노인일자리 수행기관 등 어르신 이용 시설을 직접 방문하는 ‘노인 정신건강 증진 프로그램’을 운영한다.
현장에서 사회복지사·작업치료사 등 다양한 전문가가 참여해 노년기 우울증 예방 교육, 회상요법, 이웃 소통 등 어르신의 정서적 안정을 돕는 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공할 계획이다.
이 프로그램은 오는 3월 참여기관 모집을 거쳐 4월부터 본격적으로 운영된다.
또한, 이달부터 12월까지 세종시보건소가 진행하는 ‘찾아가는 경로당 주치의 사업’과 연계한 현장 중심의 관리 강화 활동이 진행된다.
센터는 의료진과 협력해 경로당 이용 어르신을 대상으로 정신건강 선별검사를 실시하고, 우울 고위험군에게는 정신건강 서비스 제공, 사회복지 자원의 신속 연계 등의 체계적인 관리·지원을 강화할 계획이다.
