이번 현장 방문은 2026년 6월 준공을 앞둔 주요 시설의 시공 진행 상황을 종합적으로 확인하고, 향후 시설 운영을 맡을 지역 주민들의 준비 실태를 함께 살피기 위해 마련됐다. 시는 준공 전까지 공정 관리와 품질 확보에 행정력을 집중할 방침이다.
가곡항 어촌뉴딜300사업은 총사업비 85억 원을 투입해 노후 어항 기반시설을 정비하고, 지역 특산물을 활용한 체험·관광 기능을 확충함으로써 어촌 정주여건 개선과 지역경제 활성화를 도모하는 사업이다.
