고양특례시 일산서구 일산3동은 주민자치회로부터 후원금 400만 원을 전달받아 저소득층 학생 지원에 나선다고 19일 밝혔다.

일산3동 주민자치회는 동지역사회보장협의체, 새마을부녀회 등 직능단체와 협력해 반찬 나눔 등 다양한 봉사활동을 지속하며 지역사회 나눔 문화 확산에 힘써왔으며 이번 장학금은 자치사업과 프로그램 운영을 통해 마련한 수익금 일부를 지역사회에 환원하자는 취지에서 조성됐다.
후원금은 관내 저소득층 초·중·고 학생 20명에게 장학금 형태로 지원될 예정이다.
경제적 어려움으로 교육비 부담이 큰 저소득 가구에 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대되며, 학생들의 안정적인 학업 유지와 건강한 성장에도 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것으로 보인다.
