“지리산의 봄기운을 담은 고로쇠 수액, 산청에서 만나요”

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 제19회 지리산 산청 고로쇠 약수축제가 오는 28일 산청군 시천면 곶감유통센터 일원에서 개최된다.

산청군고로쇠연합회가 주관하는 이번 축제는 지리산의 봄기운을 담은 고로쇠 수액의 우수성을 알리고, 군민과 관광객이 어우러지는 화합의 장으로 꾸며진다.

축제는 산청군민의 안녕과 고로쇠 약수의 풍성한 채취를 기원하는 약수 제례와 합수식으로 막을 연다. 

이어지는 기념식과 함께 △약수마시기 대회 △고로쇠 무료 시음 △초청가수 및 지역 공연행사 △주민 및 방문객 노래자랑 등 남녀노소 누구나 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 마련했다.

특히 고로쇠 수액은 행사 당일 20% 할인행사를 진행하며, 축제는 28일 하루지만 고로쇠 판매장터는 3월 1일까지 열어 방문객들이 여유롭게 고로쇠를 구매할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.

이승영 산청군고로쇠연합회장은 “산청 지리산 고로쇠는 해발 1,000m 내외의 지리산 고산지에서 자생하여 맛이 맑고 깊은 것이 특징”며 “올해는 큰 일교차덕분에 수액의 품질이 더욱 뛰어난 만큼 많은 분이 현장을 찾아 고로쇠를 즐기길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 고로쇠라는 이름은 뼈에 이롭다는 뜻의 한자어 ‘골리수(骨利水)’에서 유래됐으며, 마그네슘과 칼슘, 천연 미네랄 성분 함유로 관절염과 위장병, 피부미용 등에 효과가 좋은 것으로 알려져 있다.
