브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 수협중앙회(회장 노동진)이 내달부터 전 국민을 대상으로 최대 100만 원의 청소비를 지원하는 바다 정화 운동인 ‘모두의 바다, 함께海 캠페인’을 연중 실시한다고 20일 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 시민단체, 학생 동아리, 각종 동호회 등 일반 시민 모임을 대상으로 진행된다. 전국 항·포구와 해안가에서 쓰레기 수거 활동을 펼칠 경우, 단체당 최대 100만 원까지 활동 경비를 지원받을 수 있다.
올해부터는 참여 문턱을 낮추기 위해 최소 참가 인원을 기존 20명에서 15명으로 완화했으며, 1인당 활동비 또한 최대 3만 원 한도로 전년 대비 50% 증액했다.
참가를 원하는 단체는 수협중앙회 홈페이지(고객지원>이벤트) 또는 포스터에 있는 QR코드를 통해 신청서를 작성하면 된다. 다음 달 캠페인 활동을 위한 참가 신청 마감은 오는 28일까지다.
지난해 캠페인에는 전국 해안가 정화 활동에 총 1,082명이 참여했으며, 22t의 해양쓰레기를 수거하는 성과를 거뒀다.
노동진 수협중앙회장은 “많은 국민이 더 쉽고 든든하게 바닷가 정화 활동에 참여할 수 있도록 신청 요건은 낮추고 지원은 확대했다”며 “우리 바다를 깨끗하게 지키는 실천에 국민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
수협중앙회는 지난 2007년부터 ‘희망의 바다 만들기 운동’을 통해 수산자원 조성과 바다환경 개선 사업을 추진해 왔으며, 올해도 ▲수산종자 방류 ▲해양쓰레기 수거(해안·부유·침적 쓰레기) ▲유해생물 퇴치 등 사업을 통해 건강한 바다 생태계 조성에 주력할 예정이다.
