충남 아산시가 서부권 복합 거점 공간으로 조성 예정인 ‘(가칭)교육발전특구지원센터’의 공식 명칭을 공개 모집한다.
이 센터는 2026년 7월 개관을 목표로 신창면 오목리 구 신창중학교 폐교 부지를 리모델링하여 교육, 다문화, 청소년, 평생학습 기능을 한데 모은 복합시설로 운영될 예정이다.
센터에는 아산교육지원청 다문화교육센터, 아산시 가족센터 신창분원, 신창청소년센터, 서부권 평생학습센터 등 다양한 기관이 입주해 다문화 학생 지원, 외국인 주민 교육, 청소년 활동 지원과 평생학습 프로그램 등 폭넓은 교육 및 돌봄 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.
이번 명칭 공모는 센터의 기능과 비전을 함축적으로 담을 수 있는 이름을 찾기 위해 마련됐다. 응모작은 교육, 배움, 성장, 함께, 미래와 같은 가치를 담아 내고, 복합 교육 거점의 성격을 잘 표현하는 것이 바람직하다.
명칭 접수는 2월 26일부터 3월 7일 오후 6시까지 온라인을 통해 진행되며, 아산시 교육정책에 관심 있는 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 단, 참가자는 1인당 1건만 응모할 수 있다.
