[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 한국해양진흥공사는 20일 부산 동구 협성마리나 G7 코비씨 워리나에서 인도 항만해운수로부 대표단과 간담회를 열고 해운·항만·물류 인프라 협력 방안을 논의했다.
이번 만남은 한국 해운·물류 기업과의 파트너십을 희망한 인도 정부의 요청으로 성사됐다. 인도는 전체 무역 물동량의 95%를 해상운송에 의존하지만 해양산업 발전은 상대적으로 더딘 상황이다. 이에 인도 정부는 ‘해양 비전 2030’과 ‘해양 황금기 비전 2047’을 추진하며 산업 현대화를 위한 국제 협력에 나서고 있다.
이번 방문은 지난해 서울에서 열린 인도 석유·천연가스부 장관과 한국 해운기업 간담회의 후속 조치로, 인도 측이 부산을 찾아 해진공과 직접 협력 방향을 논의하면서 양국의 해양산업 공조가 강화될 전망이다.
안병길 사장은 “한국은 선진 해운 노하우와 인프라를 바탕으로 인도의 산업 발전에 든든한 협력 파트너가 될 것”이라며 “이번 협력이 국내 기업이 글로벌 시장으로 나아가는 교두보가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

The latest visit follows a meeting in Seoul last November between India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Korean shipping companies arranged by KOBC, and is expected to further strengthen maritime industry cooperation between the two countries as the Indian delegation visited Busan to explore concrete partnership opportunities with Korea’s shipping sector.
“Leveraging Korea’s advanced shipping expertise and infrastructure, we can be a strong partner in India’s industrial development,” KOBC President An Byung-gil said, adding, “We will do our best to ensure this cooperation goes beyond simple exchanges and becomes a solid springboard for Korean companies to expand into global markets.”
