대전소방본부는 2026년에도 펌뷸런스 출동체계를 연중 상시 운영한다고 22일 밝혔다.
대전소방본부에 따르면 현재 동부·서부·대덕·유성·둔산 등 5개 소방서 27개 119안전센터에 소방공무원 332명과 차량 27대를 배치해 펌뷸런스를 운용 중이다.
펌뷸런스는 화재진압용 소방펌프차와 구급차가 동시에 출동하는 시스템으로, 중증 응급환자에게 초기 응급처치를 신속하게 제공하고 위험 현장에서는 구급대원의 안전까지 확보할 수 있도록 설계된 현장 밀착형 대응체계다.
지난해(2025년) 대전지역 펌뷸런스 출동 건수는 총 1949건으로, 출동대별 평균 72.2건을 기록했다.
유형별로는 교통사고가 1349건으로 전체의 70%를 차지해 가장 큰 비중을 보였고, 질병 405건(21%), 기타 사고·손상 195건(9%) 순으로 나타났다.
교통사고 현장이 펌뷸런스 출동의 중심이지만, 심정지·중증외상 등 질병 및 각종 응급 상황으로까지 출동 범위가 넓어지면서 구조·구급 전반을 아우르는 다중출동체계로 자리잡고 있다는 분석이다.
대전소방본부는 119 신고 접수 단계에서 중증·고위험 상황이 예상되면 펌뷸런스를 우선적으로 연계해 출동시키는 한편, 대원 전문성 강화를 위한 교육과 구급 자격자 배치를 꾸준히 확대하고 있다.
