또, 제49회 자랑스러운 시민상 대상 수상자인 차준용 달성군 통합방위협의회 부의장을 축하하며 “조용하지만 꾸준한 나눔과 봉사야말로 지역공동체를 지켜온 가장 큰 자산”이라고 강조했다.
그는 “독거노인과 소외계층을 위한 봉사, 공동체 안전을 위한 활동이 큰 울림을 준다”고 말했다.
추 의원은 “이번 시민주간이 세대 간 공감과 자긍심을 잇는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “대구의 역사와 정신이 미래세대에 자연스럽게 이어질 수 있도록 모두가 힘을 모아야 한다”고 당부했다.
