시의회는 23일 오전 의장실에서 김일만 의장을 비롯해 이재진 부의장과 상임·특별위원장들이 참석한 가운데 시즌카드 구매 행사를 열었다. 행사에는 포항 스틸러스 김상락 사장, 이종하 단장, 박태하 감독 등 구단 관계자도 함께했다.
김일만 의장은 “포항 시민과 시의회는 항상 스틸러스와 함께하고 있다”며 “올 한 해도 시민들의 응원을 바탕으로 더욱 성장하는 구단이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
이에 김상락 사장은 “시즌카드 구매에 동참해 주신 데 감사드린다”며 “올 시즌 지역사회의 기대에 부응할 수 있도록 철저히 준비하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 포항시의회는 지역 연고 프로축구단에 대한 지속적인 관심과 지원을 통해 지역 스포츠 활성화와 시민 화합 분위기 조성에 힘을 보태고 있다.
