브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 취약계층 아동의 문화 사각지대 해소를 위해 ‘2026년 찾아가는 문화센터’ 사업 참여 기관을 모집한다. 공모 기간은 3월 4일까지다.
‘찾아가는 문화센터 사업’은 2024년부터 추진된 사회공헌 프로그램으로, 한국마사회 문화센터 전문 강사들이 지역아동센터와 아동양육시설을 직접 방문해 음악·미술·한글·체육 등 다양한 비교과 문화강좌를 무료로 제공하는 사업이다. 돌봄 공백 완화와 문화교육 기회 확대에 기여하며 지역사회로부터 긍정적인 평가를 받아왔다.
지난해에는 29개 아동복지시설, 1175명의 아동이 본 사업에 참여했으며, 올해는 규모를 확대해 5월부터 11월까지 7개월간 총 32개소, 약 1500명을 대상으로 문화교육 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.
공모 대상은 한국마사회 사업장(경마공원 및 장외발매소)이 위치한 지역 내 아동복지시설이며, 선정된 기관에는 전문 강사 파견과 교구 및 교재비가 지원된다. 참여를 희망하는 기관은 한국마사회 문화센터 홈페이지에서 공모 요강을 확인한 후 신청서를 제출하면 된다.
한국마사회 관계자는 “공공기관으로서 사회적 책임을 다하고 적극행정을 실천하기 위해 본 사업을 지속 추진하고 있다”며 “올해는 취약계층 아동뿐 아니라 국가를 위해 헌신한 국가유공자 어르신까지 지원 대상을 확대할 계획이다”고 말했다.
