탄소중립포인트(자동차)는 운전자가 주행거리를 감축해 온실가스 배출을 줄일 경우, 감축 실적에 따라 최소 2만 원에서 최대 10만 원까지 현금 인센티브를 지급하는 국민 참여형 프로그램이다.
경상북도 지역의 모집 기간은 2월 23일부터 3월 6일까지이며, 울진군의 모집 규모는 총 125대다. 참여 대상은 울진군에 등록된 12인승 이하 비사업용 승용·승합차 소유자다. 다만 전기·수소·하이브리드 등 친환경 차량과 법인 소유 차량은 제외된다.
참여를 희망하는 경우 탄소중립포인트(자동차) 누리집에서 회원가입 후, 문자로 전송된 링크를 통해 차량 번호판과 누적 주행거리 계기판 사진을 실시간 촬영해 등록하면 된다.
울진군 관계자는 “군이 운영 중인 무료 버스를 적극 활용해 자가용 운행을 줄이면 일상 속 작은 실천으로도 탄소중립에 기여하고 인센티브 혜택을 받을 수 있다”며 “군민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
