과수화상병은 세균성 전염병으로, 감염 시 잎과 줄기, 가지가 불에 탄 듯 검게 변하며 나무 전체가 말라 죽는 피해를 일으킨다.

이를 이행하지 않을 경우, 과수화상병 발생 시 손실보상금이 일부 삭감될 수 있어 각별한 주의가 요구된다.
농업기술센터는 약제 방제와 함께 작업자 위생 관리, 작업 도구 소독 등 기본 예방 수칙도 철저히 지켜줄 것을 농가에 당부했다.
