[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 미래 핵심 산업으로 우주항공 분야에서 기업 유치가 실제 투자로 이어지며 가시적인 성과를 내고 있다고 23일 밝혔다.
시는 경남우주항공국가산업단지를 중심으로 기업 맞춤형 지원과 인프라 구축에 행정력을 집중해 산업 집적화를 추진해 왔다.
항공기 부품 전문기업 하나에어로다이내믹스는 지난해 투자협약 체결에 이어 올해 부지 분양 계약을 완료하며 본격적인 투자 절차에 돌입했다.
이 기업은 세계적 헬리콥터 제조사 Bell Textron의 핵심 부품을 공급하는 국내 유일의 1차 협력업체로 글로벌 기술력을 인정받고 있다.
최근에는 Israel Aerospace Industries와 SUBARU의 협력업체로도 등록되며 세계 항공우주 시장에서 입지를 더욱 강화했다.
특히 진주시는 한국항공우주산업 회전익비행센터와 미래항공기체 실증 인프라가 구축돼 연구개발과 시험·사업화 연계가 가능하다.
진주시 관계자는 “남부내륙철도 착공을 계기로 수도권 접근성을 높이고, 우주항공과 미래항공모빌리티 산업을 지역 핵심 성장동력으로 육성할 계획이다”고 말했다.
