[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 창녕군은 23일 경남도청에서 ㈜엘엠에이티와 창녕군 대합일반산업단지 내에 220억원 규모의 공장 증설 투자협약을 체결했다.
이날 협약식은 성낙인 군수를 비롯해 박완수 경상남도지사와 도내 8개 시·군 단체장, 18개 기업 대표가 참석한 가운데 합동으로 진행됐다.
이번 협약에 따라 총 1조 9255억원 규모의 투자와 809명의 신규 고용 창출이 기대된다.
김해시에 본사를 둔 ㈜엘엠에이티는 고기능성 알루미늄 소재 부품 전문기업으로 연속주조와 정밀 압출·인발성형, 열처리 기술을 바탕으로 자동차용 기능성 알루미늄 부품소재를 생산하고 있다.
이번 투자는 전기차 산업 성장에 대응하기 위한 생산 역량 강화 차원으로 대합면 공장을 증설해 전기차 배터리 팩·셀 및 샤시모듈용 소재를 생산할 계획이다.
특히 ㈜엘엠에이티는 과거 경영난을 겪었으나 한국자산관리공사의 세일즈앤리스백 프로그램을 통해 유동성을 확보하며 경영 정상화를 이뤄냈다.
이번 투자는 캠코 소유 공장 재매입을 비롯해 증축과 설비투자까지 포함한 본격적인 재도약 행보라는 점에서 의미를 더한다.
성낙인 군수는 "이번 협약은 기업의 체질 개선과 경쟁력 강화를 넘어 미래차 산업 전환에 발맞춘 전략적 투자로 지역 산업구조 고도화와 양질의 일자리 창출에 큰 의미가 있다"고 말했다.

On the 23rd, Changnyeong County signed a KRW 22 billion investment agreement with LMAT at the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Office to expand its factory in the Daehap General Industrial Complex in Changnyeong County.
