【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구 어울아트센터 야외공원에서 걷는 행위를 하나의 전시 경험으로 확장한 특별한 야외전시가 열린다.
오는 3월 2일부터 6월 14일까지 진행되는 ‘EAC 야외전시 《소리 산책》’은 기존의 ‘눈으로만 보는 전시’에서 벗어나, 환경 속 다양한 소리에 주목하고 그 속에 머무르는 시간을 제안한다.
이번 전시는 새로운 소리를 창조하기보다 일상에 이미 존재하는 소리들을 다시 느끼게 한다는 점에서 눈길을 끈다. 관람객들은 평소보다 발걸음을 천천히 하며 공간과 자연, 그리고 작품이 어우러지는 장면을 자연스럽게 경험할 수 있다. 전시장소는 어울아트센터 야외공원 일대다.
전시에는 김재경, 변카카, 원예찬, 정다은 등 네 명의 작가가 참여한다. 공중에 떠 있는 인물 형상 설치물, 관람객이 직접 참여할 수 있는 구조물, 지역의 소리를 담아낸 사운드 스케이프, 선과 색으로 단순하게 표현된 조형 작품 등이 공원 곳곳에 배치됐다.
관람 방식도 이채롭다. 관람객은 갤러리 금호 안내데스크에서 오디오 기기와 헤드폰을 무료로 빌려 ‘사운드 워킹’을 체험할 수 있다. 오디오 기기는 관람객이 바람, 발걸음, 새소리 등 주변의 환경음과 작품의 소리를 함께 들으며 자신만의 감각에 집중할 수 있도록 돕는다. 오디오 기기 대여는 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지 가능하며, 기기 수량이 한정돼 있어 붐비는 시간대에는 기다려야 할 수도 있다.
작품 설치에는 야외 환경에 맞춰 비계 구조물이 활용됐다. 주최 측은 관람 안전을 위해 일부 구역에 접근 제한과 안내 표지를 세웠으며, 비나 강풍 등 악천후 시엔 일부 작품 관람이 제한될 수 있음을 알렸다. 또한, 관람객에게는 설치물 위에 올라가거나 작품을 손대지 말아달라고 당부했다.
박정숙 대표이사는 “《소리 산책》은 단순히 목적지에 빨리 도달하는 이동이 아니라, 걷는 그 자체를 오감으로 느끼는 특별한 전시”라며 “익숙한 공원을 새롭게 바라보고, 귀를 여는 경험이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
봄이 찾아와 날씨가 풀리는 시기부터 초여름까지 이어지는 《소리 산책》은 도심 속에서 천천히 걸으며 감각을 깨우는 특별한 시간을 선사할 예정이다.

A special outdoor exhibition will be held at the Eoul Arts Center Outdoor Park in Buk-gu, Daegu, expanding the act of walking into an exhibition experience.
The "EAC Outdoor Exhibition 《Sound Walk》," running from March 2nd to June 14th, breaks away from the conventional "visual experience" approach and instead invites visitors to focus on the diverse sounds of the environment and immerse themselves in them.

Four artists—Kim Jae-kyung, Byun Kaka, Won Ye-chan, and Jeong Da-eun—will participate in the exhibition. The park features floating figure installations, interactive structures, soundscapes capturing local sounds, and sculptural works simply expressed through lines and colors.
The viewing experience is also unique. Visitors can rent audio devices and headphones free of charge from the Gallery Kumho information desk and experience "sound walking." Audio devices allow visitors to focus on their own senses by simultaneously listening to the artwork alongside ambient sounds like wind, footsteps, and birdsong. Audio device rentals are available from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but due to limited availability, there may be a wait during peak hours.
Scaffolding was used to install the artwork, adapting to the outdoor environment. To ensure safety, the organizers have placed restricted access and warning signs in certain areas. They also note that viewing of some artworks may be restricted during inclement weather, such as rain or strong winds. Visitors are also asked to refrain from climbing on the installations or touching the artworks.
CEO Park Jeong-sook stated, "'Sound Walking' is not simply a matter of quickly reaching a destination; it's a special exhibition where the act of walking itself is experienced with all five senses. I hope it will be an experience that opens your ears and allows you to see the familiar park in a new way."
From the arrival of spring and the warmer weather until early summer, "Sound Walk" will provide a special time to awaken your senses while taking a leisurely walk in the city.
