【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=태국 부라파대학교 방문단이 23일 대경대 한류캠퍼스를 방문해, 올 8월 문을 열 목표로 추진 중인 태국 합작 해외캠퍼스 설립을 위한 최종 협의에 나섰다.
대경대에 따르면 이번 방문은 양교 간 체결한 업무협약을 바탕으로 진행된 것으로, 부라파대 전략기획 부총장 티라왓을 포함한 10여 명의 대표단이 학과 구성과 운영 모델 등 사업의 세부사항을 집중적으로 논의했다.
이번 협의에서 양측은 스포츠, 크루즈관광, 뷰티, 한국어, 엔터테인먼트, 태권도 등 6개 학과 신설에 무게를 두고 있다. 각 학과는 대경대가 강점을 보유한 실무 중심 한류 특성화 분야로, 태국 내 수요와 산업 연계를 함께 고려했다.
양 대학은 학과별 커리큘럼, 학위 및 수료 체계, 교수진 구성, 학생 모집과 등록금 및 장학제도, 현지 시설과 숙소, 비자 및 학생 지원, 산학협력과 취업 연계 등 실무 전반에 대해 폭넓은 의견을 나눴다. 특히 부라파대 캠퍼스 내에 대경대 특성화 학과를 공동 설치·운영하는 형태가 유력한 것으로 알려졌다.
티라왓 부총장은 "대경대와 맺은 업무협약 이후 합작 논의가 한층 구체화됐다"며 "태국 현지에서 한류 기반 실무 교육에 대한 기대와 관심이 더욱 커지고 있다"고 전했다.
부라파대 방문단은 25일까지 대경대 졸업식과 입학식에도 참석한 뒤 귀국할 계획이다. 두 학교는 실무 협의를 끝낸 뒤, 올 8월 해외캠퍼스 개설을 목표로 준비에 속도를 낼 예정이다.
대경대 관계자는 "이번 합작 캠퍼스가 실무 중심 K-콘텐츠 교육을 아시아 시장으로 확장하는 중요한 발판이 될 것"이라며 "특히 크루즈관광, 엔터테인먼트, 뷰티 분야를 중심으로 글로벌 현장실습과 해외 취업 연계에도 긍정적인 효과가 기대된다"고 밝혔다.

The Burapha University delegation plans to attend Daekyung University's graduation and entrance ceremonies until the 25th before returning to Korea. After concluding practical discussions, the two universities plan to accelerate preparations, aiming to open an overseas campus in August.
A Daekyung University official stated, "This joint campus will serve as a significant stepping stone for expanding our practical K-content education into the Asian market. We anticipate positive outcomes for global field training and overseas employment opportunities, particularly in the cruise tourism, entertainment, and beauty industries."
