<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 북부지방산림청이 산림의 공익적 기능 증진과 임업인들의 든든한 소득 안정을 돕기 위해 발 벗고 나선다.
24일 북부지방산림청에 따르면, 오는 3월 4일부터 4월 30일까지 ‘2026년 임업·산림 공익직접지불금(이하 임업직불금)’ 신청 접수를 본격적으로 시작한다.
임업직불제는 일정 자격을 갖추고 대추, 호두, 밤 등 임산물을 생산하거나, 산림경영계획 인가를 받아 나무를 심고 가꾸는 육림업에 종사하는 임업인에게 직불금을 지급하는 알짜 지원 제도다.
지급 대상은 크게 임산물 생산업과 육림업으로 나뉜다. 임산물 생산업의 경우 2019년 4월 1일부터 2022년 9월 30일까지 임야 대상 농업경영체로 등록된 0.1ha 이상 산지에서 직전 1년 이상(연간 60일 이상) 종사하고, 연간 임산물 판매액이 120만 원 이상이어야 한다. 육림업은 산림경영계획 인가를 받고 직전 10년간 육림 실적이 3ha 이상인 산지에서 연간 60일 이상 종사하는 등 세부 요건을 충족해야 한다.
특히 올해는 임업인들의 편의를 대폭 높이기 위해 온라인 신청 기간을 예년보다 1개월 연장해 운영하는 점이 눈에 띈다.
