【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 24일 군청 상황실에서 국립소방병원의 성공적인 개원과 안정적인 운영을 지원하기 위한 국립소방병원 개원지원협의체 본회의를 개최했다.
이날 본회의는 장기봉 음성군부군수가 주재한 가운데, 소방청 119대응국 구급의료팀, 충북도 소방본부 안전보건팀, 국립소방병원 기획예산과 및 음성군청 관련 부서장 등 협의체 관계자 20여 명이 참석했다.
이번 회의는 올해 6월 정식 개원을 앞두고 그동안 각 기관이 추진해 온 사항 등을 점검하고 안정적인 운영을 위한 핵심 지원방안과 건의 사항을 논의하며, 기관별 지원·협력 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.
주요 논의 사항은 의료 장비 도입에 대한 재정지원과 생활관(기숙사) 건립 추진 그리고 병원 이용 환자의 접근성을 높이는 방안 등 주요 안건 중심으로 논의가 이뤄졌다.
소방병원은 지난해 12월 24일 현판식을 열고 진료시스템 사전 점검과 병원 운영의 안정성 확보를 위해 소방·경찰공무원 및 직계가족을 대상으로 5개 진료과목(내과·외과·소아청소년과·산부인과·재활의학과)에 대해 시범 진료를 실시했다.
이어 올해 2월부터는 소아청소년과와 산부인과 진료 대상을 일반 주민으로 확대했으며, 오는 6월에는 입원실, 수술실, 응급실, 인공신장실 등을 포함한 19개 진료과의 정식 개원을 목표로 하고 있다.
그동안 군은 국립소방병원의 차질 없는 개원을 지원하기 위해 지난해 8월 국립소방병원-소방청-충북도와 함께 개원지원협의체를 구성해 선제적으로 대응해 왔다.
아울러 논의된 내용을 토대로 의료장비 도입 재정지원(음성군 110억·충북도 50억·진천군 40억)을 비롯해 의료인력 주거 안정을 위한 임대주택 확보 지원, 국립소방병원 구내식당의 지역 농·축산물 구매 확대, 지역 생산품·서비스 우선 구매 촉진을 위한 협의, 소방병원 경유 버스 노선 개편 등을 추진했다.
군은 앞으로도 지역 주민들에게 양질의 의료서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 유관기관과의 긴밀한 협력체계를 더욱 공고히 다져나갈 방침이다.
장기봉 부군수는 “올해 6월 국립소방병원의 정식 개원을 통해 의료취약지역인 중부 4군 주민들의 삶의 질 개선에 기여할 것으로 기대되고 있다”며 “응급·필수 의료 공백을 줄이는 데 중요한 전환점이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
그러면서 “병원이 조기에 안정적으로 운영될 수 있도록 필요한 지원과 협력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
