인천시는 네트워크 출범 이후 관련 사업 예산을 확보함에 따라, 안정적인 운영과 실질적인 성과 창출을 위한 협력 기반을 본격적으로 구축하게 됐다.
이번 협약을 통해 각 기관은 네트워크 활성화를 위한 기반 조성, 인천 과학기술 및 연구개발(R&D) 경쟁력 강화, 인천 지역 과학기술인 간 정례적 교류, 공동 세미나 및 포럼 개최 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 추진한다.
특히, 민간이 중심이 되는 네트워크 운영을 통해 지역 과학기술인의 정책 참여를 확대하고, 공동 연구기획과 연계사업 발굴 등 실질적인 협력 성과를 도출할 것으로 기대된다.
