파주문화재단이 오는 27일부터 4월 30일까지 신규 문화공간 '평화뮤지엄
S827' 개관을 기념하는 기획 전시 <평화의 빛, 미래의 길, "동행">전을 개최한다.
이번 전시가 열리는 '평화뮤지엄 S827'은 경기도 유휴공간 문화재생사업의 일환으로 조성된 공간이다.
미 공병여단이 주둔했던 '캠프 하우즈' 내 미군 PX 건물을 리모델링해 탄생한 이곳은, 분단과 분쟁의 상흔이 남아 있던 장소를 평화의 상징으로 전환한다는 점에서 남다른 의미를 지닌다.
전시에 참여하는 작가들은 역사적 비극을 예술적 시선으로 재해석한 작품들을 선보인다.

과거의 기록에서 새로운 생명력을 발굴하고, 개인의 내면과 외부 세계를 잇는 소통의 과정을 시각화함으로써 관객들에게 미래지향적인 평화의 관점을 제시할 예정이다.
