복수초는 겨울 추위를 이겨내고 가장 먼저 피는 봄꽃 중 하나로 ‘복(福)’과 ‘장수(壽)’를 상징하며, 봄의 시작을 알리는 상징적인 꽃으로 널리 알려져있다.
올해 좌구산 복수초는 예년보다 개화 시기가 다소 늦었지만, 눈과 낙엽 사이에서도 꽃망울을 키우며 봄 채비에 들어갔다.
사업소 측은 이르면 주말께 병영체험장 일대에서 개화한 복수초를 볼 수 있을 것으로 내다봤다.
