대전의 중장년층이 인공지능(AI) 시대를 대비한 디지털 기술을 배우고, 새로운 경력을 설계할 수 있는 기회의 문이 열린다.
대전시사회서비스원 산하 대전중장년지원센터가 2026년 1학기 교육과정을 마련하고, 오는 3월 9일부터 11일까지 수강생을 모집한다.
이번 학기 프로그램은 ‘생애 전환’·‘스마트 전환’·‘커리어 전환’ 등 세 가지 분야로 구성됐다. 총 7개 강좌가 운영되며, 전 과정에 생성형 AI 도구인 챗지피티(ChatGPT) 활용 교육이 포함된 것이 특징이다.
단순히 이론 중심의 강의가 아닌 실습을 통해 참가자들이 인공지능을 실제 업무나 창업에 활용할 수 있도록 구성된 점이 눈길을 끈다.
특히 ‘AI 동화책 기획·출판 과정’은 AI를 활용한 창작 실습을 중심으로 기획, 원고 작성, 이미지 생성, 출판 전략 수립 등 전 과정을 다룬다. 콘텐츠 제작 경험이 없는 중장년도 손쉽게 참여할 수 있도록 맞춤형 교육을 제공해 미래형 창작 역량 강화를 목표로 한다.
‘커리어 전환’ 분야에서는 타로 마스터 창업 과정과 병원 동행 매니저 과정이 운영된다. 두 과정 모두 이론교육과 현장 실습을 병행해 수료 후 실제 취·창업으로 이어질 수 있도록 실무 중심으로 설계됐다.
참여 대상은 대전에 거주하는 50세부터 64세(1962~1976년생) 시민이며, ‘생애·스마트 전환’ 분야와 ‘커리어 전환’ 분야에서 각각 한 개씩, 1인 최대 두 개 강좌까지 신청할 수 있다.
대전중장년지원센터는 “이번 교육은 단순한 취미나 교양 수준을 넘어, 중장년층이 디지털 격차를 해소하고 새로운 인생 2막을 설계할 수 있도록 돕는 실질적 기회가 될 것”이라며 “AI 활용 능력이 앞으로의 경력 전환에 큰 자산이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
