대전시의회 조원휘 의장이 지난 25일 군산에서 열린 ‘2026년 대한민국시도의회의장협의회 제2차 임시회’에 참석해 전국 주요 현안을 논의하고 공동 대응을 모색했다.
전북특별자치도의회 주관 행사에서 기후위기 특별위원회 보고 등 3건과 학교급식 필수공익사업 지정 촉구, 시도의원 선거구 획정위원회 설치 등 12개 안건을 다뤘다.
조 의장은 대전시의회를 대표해 학교급식 필수공익사업 지정 촉구 건의안을 강조하며 학생 건강권·학습권 보호를 위한 제도 개선을 역설했다.
조 의장은 “학교급식은 학생 건강과 학습의 핵심 인프라”라며 “국가가 안정적 운영 체계를 마련해야 한다”고 밝혔다.
