【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 지난 25일 군청 상황실에서 음성군 교육경비지원 심의위원회(위원장 장기봉 부군수)를 개최하고 2026년도 교육경비 보조사업을 확정했다.
이날 심의위원회에서는 학교 간 공정하고 효율적인 예산지원을 위해 각급학교와 음성교육지원청에서 제출한 교육경비 보조사업 심의안에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 거쳐 53개 사업에 22억 3386만원을 심의·의결했다.
지원 규모는 지난해보다 1억 4156만원이 증가했다. 이는 교육발전특구 시범 선도지역 3년 차를 맞아 기존 사업을 안정적으로 추진하고 학교별 특성화 프로그램을 확대하면서 지원 규모가 소폭 늘어난 것이다.
주요 사업으로는 유치원 놀이중심 프로그램 등 지역 내 각급학교와 음성교육지원청을 대상으로 총 29개 사업에 11억 7586만원을 지원한다.
또한 교육발전특구 시범 선도지역 사업 교육경비 보조사업으로 자율형 공립고 2.0 지원, 고등학교 기숙사 활성화 지원, 우리동네 예술학교 등 총 24개 사업에 10억 580만원을 지원한다.
아울러 군은 2024년 교육발전특구 성과평가에서 도내 유일하게 우수한 성과를 인정받아 2억5천만원의 인센티브를 확보했으며, 이를 바탕으로 올해 교육혁신 사업의 추진 동력을 더욱 강화할 계획이다.
장기봉 위원장은 “교육발전특구 사업이 3년 차에 접어든 만큼 학교 현장 중심의 교육지원을 더욱 확대하겠다”며 “앞으로도 학생들이 양질의 교육을 받을 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
