시는 지난 24일 무실동 무삼공원에서 강원특별자치도 경찰청, 원주경찰서, 관내 청소년쉼터들과 합동으로 ‘찾아가는 청소년상담소 도란도란’ 연합 아웃리치를 진행했다고 26일 밝혔다.
‘도란도란’ 상담소는 매년 2월부터 12월까지 매월 셋째 주 화요일 저녁 무삼공원에서 정기적으로 운영되는 프로그램이다. 청소년들의 고민 상담은 물론, 인구 밀집 지역 순찰을 통해 위기 청소년을 조기에 발견하고 필요한 서비스를 연계하는 가교 역할을 하고 있다.
이날 활동에서는 청소년 맞춤형 상담 서비스와 함께 교육 프로그램, 먹거리, 홍보 물품 등을 제공하며 거리 위 청소년들과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다. 시는 앞으로도 청소년쉼터 등과 긴밀히 협업해 가정 밖 청소년들이 건강한 사회 구성원으로 복귀할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않을 방침이다.
원주시 관계자는 “위기 청소년 문제를 조기에 발견하고 적절한 대처 방안을 제시하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”며, “아이들이 안전한 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 순찰과 보호 활동을 이어가겠다”고 전했다.
