[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 26일 시청 5층 상황실에서 2026년 제1회 진주시 투자유치위원회를 열고 우주항공 중심 전략산업 육성과 투자 활성화를 담은 ‘2026년 투자유치 기본계획’을 심의·확정했다.
이번 계획은 경남우주항공국가산업단지와 연계해 실질적 투자 성과를 창출하는 데 초점을 맞춰 우주항공·뿌리·세라믹 등 지역 전략산업의 경쟁력 강화와 산업 생태계 고도화를 목표로 수립됐다.
진주시는 올해 연간 투자유치 목표액을 1200억원으로 설정, 국가산단 내 우주항공 및 연관 산업 기업을 중점 유치해 미래 성장동력 확충과 지역경제 활성화를 동시에 도모할 방침이다.
또 시는 한국항공우주산업(KAI) 회전익 비행센터와 미래 항공기체(AAV) 실증 인프라를 적극 활용, 위성 특화지구 지정과 연계한 위성·우주 서비스 산업 육성에도 행정 역량을 집중 할 계획이다.
아울러 진주시는 소재·부품·장비 산업 경쟁력 강화와 글로벌 기업 발굴, 투자유치 홍보 및 기업 간(B2B) 네트워크 확대, 국내외 기업 대상 맞춤형 인센티브와 행정 지원을 추진 할 예정이다.
시는 국내외 경기 불확실성과 수도권 집중 등 어려운 여건 속에서도 차별화된 산업 인프라와 전략적 행정 지원을 바탕으로 기업 친화적 투자환경 조성과 지속 가능한 성장 기반 마련에 나설 예정이다.
진주시 관계자는 “하반기 2차 준공을 앞둔 경남우주항공국가산업단지가 산업 구조 전환의 핵심 기반이 될 것이다”며“양질의 일자리 창출과 지역경제 활력 제고로 이어지도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 진주시는 지난 1월 1일 투자유치 전담 부서인 ‘투자유치과’를 신설해 투자정책 수립부터 기업 유치, 산업단지 조성, 입주기업 지원까지 전 과정을 전담하며 전략산업 중심 투자 기반을 강화하고 있다.
