이날 협약식에는 정명섭 사장과 노동조합위원장을 비롯한 공사 관계자, 대구안실련 대표 등이 참석해 지역사회 안전문화 정착을 위한 협력 의지를 다졌다.
이번 협약은 민·관 협력을 기반으로 지역사회 전반에 안전문화를 확산하고, 선제적 안전사고 예방 활동을 체계적으로 추진하기 위해 마련됐다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲안전문화 확산을 위한 공동 캠페인 전개 ▲안전교육 프로그램 협력 ▲공동 안전점검 실시 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 이어갈 계획이다.
정명섭 사장은 “이번 협약은 민·관은 물론 노사가 함께 안전문화 확산과 안전사고 예방을 위해 힘을 모으는 의미 있는 출발”이라며 “지역사회와 지속적으로 소통해 시민 안전의식을 높이고, 대구가 더욱 안전한 도시로 자리매김할 수 있도록 공기업의 사회적 책임을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
