【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 27일 이상설선생기념관에서 ‘친일재산 국가귀속 프로젝트 자문위원 간담회’를 개최하고 전수조사 결과와 주요 추진 성과를 발표했다.
이번 간담회는 지난해 8월 전국 최초로 출범한 ‘친일재산 국가귀속 TF’의 운영 경과를 공유하고, 추진 과정에서 나타난 보완 사항과 향후 전략을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
군은 기존 정부 주도의 조사에서 한발 더 나아가 친일반민족행위자 1,005명 전원을 대상으로 전수조사를 실시했다.
과거에는 중대 친일행위자 507명으로 한정됐으나, 조사 대상을 전면 확대해 보다 촘촘한 검증 체계를 구축했다.
또한 현재 소유자 기준뿐 아니라 과거 대장상 소유 내역까지 포함하고, 기존 5개 항목이 아닌 전체 20개 항목으로 범위를 넓혀 조사함으로써 사각지대를 최소화했다.
그 결과 진천군 내 17만 필지를 분석해 친일재산으로 의심되는 토지 6필지를 발굴하고 법무부에 정식 조사를 의뢰하는 성과를 거뒀다.
이 가운데 1필지는 2009년 국가귀속 결정이 내려졌음에도 현재까지 개인 명의로 남아 있는 사실을 확인하고 기획재정부에 관리청 지정 등 후속 조치를 요청했다.
나머지 필지 역시 법무부의 조사 결과를 지속적으로 모니터링하며 적극 대응하고 있다.
이뿐만 아니라 과거 친일재산조사위원회 해산 이후 사실상 중단됐던 친일재산 환수 논의를 다시 공론화하는 계기를 만들어 사회적 공감대를 확산했다.
