한국민속문화협회가 지난 3월 1일, 정월대보름을 맞아 갱생보호시설 ‘금성의 집’ 거주자들과 함께 우리 고유의 전통문화를 즐기며 화합하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
올해로 3년째를 맞이한 이번 행사는 정월대보름 놀이를 통해 소외된 이웃의 건강과 안녕을 빌고, 나라의 풍년을 기원하며 협회 회원 및 봉사자들 간의 소통을 도모하기 위해 마련되었다.

서성연 사무국장의 사회로 진행된 이날 행사는 세대를 아우르는 풍성한 프로그램으로 채워졌다.
참석자들은 오곡밥과 나물, 부럼 등 정성껏 준비된 전통 음식을 나누며 한 해의 액운을 쫓고 건강을 기원했다.
이어지는 2부 순서에서는 제기차기, 윷놀이 등 직접 참여할 수 있는 ‘전통 놀이 한마당’이 펼쳐져 현장의 열기를 더했다.

이번 행사에는 적십자 고양시협의회 유순덕 회장을 비롯해, 적십자 주교봉사회원인 고양특례시의회 공소자 기획행정위원장 등 내빈과 회원 70여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
특히 적십자 정발산봉사회, 정훈기획, 세형금속, 고양시향토문화진흥원, 둥지 지역아동센터 등 지역사회의 다양한 손길이 후원으로 이어져 나눔의 의미를 더했다.
처음 행사에 참여한 유순덕 적십자 고양시협의회장은 “단순한 행사를 넘어 모두가 한마음으로 어우러지는 모습에 큰 감동을 받았다”며 소감을 전했다.
정운란 한국민속문화협회장은 “금성의 집 (원장 신인철)형제들과 봉사원들이 한데 어우러져 따뜻한 정을 나눈 하루였다”며, “앞으로도 우리 전통문화의 보존은 물론, 소외된 이웃과 함께하는 ‘행복한 봉사’를 지속적으로 실천해 사회적 가치를 실현해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
