인천시에 따르면, 지난해 큰 호응을 얻었던 '생생시정 보물섬 현장견학 – 연평도' 코스가 시범 운영을 거쳐 상시 운행으로 확대된다.
'인천 아이(i)바다패스'와 연계해 인천시민이라면 단돈 1,500원으로 서해 최전방 북방한계선(NLL) 인근 안보 현장을 당일 코스로 체험할 수 있다.
견학 코스는 안보교육장을 시작으로 평화공원, 조기역사관, 서정우 하사 묘표 보존지, 평화전망대, 포7중대를 차례로 방문하며 평화와 안보의 중요성을 되새긴다.
기존에는 1박 이상 체류해야만 가능했던 연평평화안보수련원의 교육을 당일 코스로 체험할 수 있어 접근성이 크게 향상됐다.
연평도 견학은 회차당 15명 이상 20명 이내로 진행되며, 전문 서포터즈와 연평부대의 안보 브리핑이 함께 제공되어 깊이 있는 현장 체험이 가능하다.
