【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 오는 3월 20일까지 저소득층 가정을 대상으로 ‘초·중·고 학생 교육급여·교육비 집중 신청 기간’을 운영한다. 학기 초부터 지원을 희망하는 가정은 이번 기간 내 신청하는 것이 유리하다.
신청은 주소지 읍·면·동 행정복지센터 방문 또는 온라인 방식으로 가능하다. '복지로'나 '교육비 원클릭' 누리집에서 온라인 접수도 할 수 있다. 교육급여는 기준 중위소득 50% 이하 가구에 지급되며, 교육비 지원은 항목별로 중위소득 기준이 다르게 적용된다.
교육급여 지원 항목은 교육활동지원비를 비롯해 교과서비, 고등학교 입학금·수업료 등이다. 올해 교육활동지원비는 전년보다 평균 6% 인상돼 초등학생은 50만2천 원, 중학생 69만9천 원, 고등학생 86만 원이 연간 지급된다.
이외에도 학교급식비, 방과후학교 자유수강권, 교육정보화 지원 등 교육비도 함께 지원된다. 방과후학교 자유수강권은 중위소득 85% 이하 또는 다자녀 가정 학생에게 1인당 연 최대 60만 원까지 제공된다. 교육정보화 지원은 저소득 가구를 대상으로 PC와 인터넷 통신비 등을 지원한다.
이미 교육급여나 교육비를 지원받고 있는 가정은 별도 신청 없이 지자체의 소득·재산 조사 결과에 따라 계속 지원이 이뤄진다. 단, 올해 새로 수급자로 선정된 경우에는 4월 1일부터 한국장학재단 전자바우처 누리집에서 바우처를 신청해야 한다.
임종식 경북교육감은 “집중 신청 기간에 접수하면 학기 초부터 안정적으로 지원을 받을 수 있다”며 “경제적 어려움으로 학업에 지장이 없도록 적극적인 신청을 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.
