【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 오는 2026학년도 1학기 ‘한국어 예비과정’ 위탁교육에 참여할 이주배경학생을 모집한다.
신청은 3월 6일 오후 4시 30분까지이며, 학생 소속 학교를 통해 이뤄진다.
이 프로그램은 한국어 능력이 부족해 교실 수업 참여에 어려움을 겪는 초·중·고 이주배경학생을 대상으로 한다. 기존의 단기 운영 방식에서 학기제(약 17주·85일)로 전환하여 집중적인 교육을 제공하는 점이 특징이다.
시교육청은 이를 통해 학생들의 한국어 습득 연속성과 학습 몰입도를 높이고, 원적교 복귀 후에도 수업 적응력을 기르겠다는 계획이다.
특히 올해부터 달성군에 신규 거점학교를 마련해, 북동초와 북동중을 중심으로 해당 지역 학생 모집에 나선다. 접근성을 높임과 동시에, 지역 맞춤형 한국어 교육과 안정적인 학습 환경 제공에도 힘쓴다는 방침이다.
교육 과정은 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 등 기초 한국어 수업을 비롯해 교과 연계 보조, 생활·정서 지원까지 아우른다. 학생별 초기 진단 결과를 바탕으로 개별 학습계획을 세우고, 필요할 경우 원적교 교사 및 학부모와 연계한 맞춤형 지원도 함께한다.
신청은 학생이 소속된 학교에서 일괄 접수하며, 신청서와 보호자 동의서, 한국어 능력 관련 자료 등은 학교 안내에 따라 제출해야 한다. 제출 서류가 미비할 경우 선발에서 불이익이 있을 수 있다. 모든 수업은 3월 23일부터 시작되며, 세부 시간표와 운영 방식은 위탁기관 및 학교에 따라 다르게 운영된다.
강은희 교육감은 “한국어 예비과정은 단순 언어 교육을 넘어, 학교 공동체에 안정적으로 적응하도록 돕는 프로그램”이라며 “학기제 전환과 달성군 거점 신설을 통해 이주배경학생들이 보다 안정적으로 학교생활에 참여할 수 있도록 적극 지원할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
