이춘희 더불어민주당 세종시장 예비후보가 조치원을 세종시의 경제 중심축으로 바로 세우기 위한 청사진을 제시했다.
이 예비후보는 3일 오전 조치원복합커뮤니티센터에서 기자회견을 열고, 가칭 '북구청' 설치를 포함한 조치원 발전 4대 공약을 발표하며 표심 공략에 나섰다.
이번 발표의 핵심은 조치원읍을 중심으로 한 행정 체계 개편이다. 이 예비후보는 "조치원은 세종시의 뿌리이자 서북부권의 중심"이라고 강조하며, 민선 5기 출범과 동시에 북구청 설치를 위한 실무 준비에 착수하겠다고 공언했다.
