충청남도가 천안·아산·서산·당진을 잇는 이차전지 산업 생태계 구축을 목표로 16개 기관과 힘을 모았다.
최근 체결한 '국가첨단전략산업 특화단지 지정 협력 업무협약'은 도와 4개 시, 선도기업, 대학, 연구기관이 참여해 단순 협조를 넘어 유기적 협력 체계를 만든다.
한국유미코아배터리머티리얼즈·하나머티리얼즈 등 소재 강자 기업과 단국대·호서대 등 교육기관, 충남테크노파크·KATECH가 합세하며 기술 개발부터 인재 양성까지 전 과정을 아우른다.
협약은 특화단지 지정 공동 대응과 민관 거버넌스를 핵심으로, 부지 지원, 핵심 기술 실증, 맞춤 인력 배출, 투자 유치 등 6대 분야에서 실질적 실행을 약속했다.
올해부터 2034년까지 추진되는 이 사업은 지정 시 입주 기업에 기술·수출 지원과 인허가 특혜를 제공해 중국 공급망 의존 탈피와 글로벌 경쟁력을 노린다.
충남도는 이를 통해 지역 경제 도약과 상생 생태계를 완성할 전망이다.
