최 예비후보는 “안전한 도시 인프라와 촘촘한 현장 관리, 사고 발생 시 신속 대응은 도시 행정의 기본”이라며 “이번 사고를 계기로 허가 요건 강화와 현장 관리 체계 개선 등 근본적인 안전 대책이 반드시 마련되어야 한다”고 강조했다.
이어 “관계 당국이 시민의 생명과 안전을 최우선으로 두고 책임 있는 후속 조치에 나서야 한다”며 “사고의 진행 상황을 끝까지 지켜보며, 필요하다면 추가적인 공론화와 법적 대응도 검토하겠다”고 밝혔다.
