파주시 광탄도서관이 문화체육관광부가 주관하고 한국도서관문화재단이 주최하는 ‘2026 도서관 문화예술 동아리 활동 지원 사업’에 선정됐다.

이번 사업은 도서관을 중심으로 지역 주민의 자발적이고 창의적인 문화·예술 활동을 지원하기 위한 것으로, 전국 공공도서관에서 운영 중인 300개 동아리를 대상으로 진행된다.
사업 기간은 3월부터 11월까지이며, 선정된 동아리에는 300만 원의 운영비가 지원된다.
올해 공모에는 전국 274개 도서관이 참여했고, 경기도에서는 총 27개관이 선정됐다.
파주시에서는 문산도서관, 가람도서관, 교하도서관, 한울도서관, 광탄도서관 등 5개관 6개 동아리가 이름을 올렸다.
광탄도서관은 지역 주민으로 구성된 창작 동아리 ‘그리소’를 중심으로 사업을 추진할 예정이다.
‘그리소’는 실크 스크린 기법과 유사한 ‘리소 인쇄기’를 활용해 다양한 창작물을 제작하는 동아리로, 지역 내 문화 소외 계층에게 창작의 기회를 제공해 왔으며 특히 광탄도서관은 파주 지역에서 유일하게 리소 인쇄기를 활용한 창작 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
광탄도서관은 이번 사업 선정으로 지역 주민의 창의적 역량을 강화하고, 예술 활동이 지역 경제와 연계될 수 있는 기반을 마련할 계획이다.
이인숙 문산도서관장은 “이번 지원 사업을 통해 책뿐 아니라 그림, 음악 등 다양한 예술 활동이 지역 도서관에서 활발히 이루어지기를 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 주민이 도서관에서 즐겁게 배우고 소통할 수 있도록 다양한 문화사업을 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
