파주소방서, ‘붉은 희망의 나눔’ 단체 헌혈 행사 실시

파주소방서는 3월 3일 최근 급격히 감소한 혈액 보유량 위기를 극복하고 지역사회에 생명 나눔 문화를 확산하기 위해 ‘붉은 희망의 나눔’ 단체 헌혈 행사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 소방청이 지난 2월 4일부터 추진 중인 ‘사랑의 단체 헌혈’ 릴레이의 일환으로 전국 시·도 소방본부와 일선 소방서가 참여해 공직사회가 앞장서 혈액 수급 안정에 기여하자는 취지에서 마련됐다.

특히 최근 혈액 보유량이 ‘주의’ 단계에 근접하는 등 수급 불안이 우려되는 상황에서 파주소방서 대원들이 자발적으로 참여해 의미를 더했다.

대원들은 긴박한 현장 출동과 바쁜 근무 일정 속에서도 헌혈 차량을 찾아 문진과 건강 상태 확인 등 절차를 거친 뒤 헌혈에 동참했으며 헌혈을 마친 뒤에는 안전수칙에 따라 충분한 휴식을 취하며 생명 나눔의 의미를 되새겼다.

헌혈에 참여한 직원들은 “현장에서 시민의 생명을 지키는 것뿐만 아니라 우리의 피를 나누어 또 다른 생명을 살릴 수 있다는 점에서 큰 보람을 느낀다”고 전했다.

김명찬 파주소방서장은 “우리가 지키는 것은 재난 현장만이 아니라 시민의 일상”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 따뜻한 나눔 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
