【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대경대학교 한류캠퍼스가 지난 3일 학과별 전공 실습장에서 동시에 오리엔테이션을 열었다. 이번 행사에는 7개 학과, 약 370명이 참가해 신입생 대상 투어와 교육 및 커리큘럼 소개가 진행됐다.
신입생들은 전공 실습장 곳곳을 둘러보며 학교 생활에 필요한 정보와 학사 일정, 학점 이수 제도, BIZ칼리지 운영 방식, 전공별 커리큘럼 안내 등을 들었다. 이번 오리엔테이션에 참여한 학과는 K-실용음악과, 연기예술과, K-모델연기과, 태권도과, AI스포츠분석과, 특수분장과, 사회복지상담과 등이다.
특히 연기예술과 신입생 중에는 뷰티·미용·어학 분야 자격증만 7개를 갖춘 학생과 넷플릭스 화제 프로그램에 출연한 이력이 있는 학생이 있어 눈길을 끌었다. K-모델연기과에도 실제 현장에서 활동 중인 준프로 모델들이 다수 입학해 실무 중심 교육에 대한 기대를 더했다.
태권도과 신입생 이수진(1학년)은 전국체육고 체육대회와 여성태권도 장관기 대회에서 연이어 1위를 차지하는 등, 화려한 수상 경력을 가진 선수다. 담당 교수는 "대회에서 검증된 실력과 경험을 지닌 신입생들의 유입은 학과의 전국적 인지도를 높이고 있다"고 평가했다.
AI스포츠분석과에는 스페인 축구 지도자 자격을 갖추고 마드리드 라스 로사스 CF A·B팀을 지도한 경력이 있는 한찬희 씨가 신입생으로 합류했다. 학과 관계자는 "국내 유일의 학과 특성에 맞춰 AI 스포츠 분석 전문가를 체계적으로 키워내겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편, 대경대 한류캠퍼스는 올해 신입생 충원률(정원 내외 기준) 117.5%를 기록했다. 대학 측은 "실무 경험이 풍부한 신입생들과 함께 실습 중심 교육을 한층 강화해, 졸업 후 현장 적응력을 높일 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

Department officials stated, "We will systematically cultivate AI sports analysis experts tailored to the unique characteristics of Korea's unique department."
Meanwhile, Daekyung University's Hallyu Campus achieved a 117.5% freshman enrollment rate this year (based on quota).
