충남 청양군이 지역 청년들의 가장 큰 고민인 주거 문제를 해결하고 안정적인 지역 정착을 돕기 위해 조성한 청년 셰어하우스 ‘함께살아U’가 3일 문을 열고 본격적인 가동에 들어갔다.
지방소멸대응기금 등 총 55억 원이 투입된 이번 시설은 청년들이 저렴한 비용으로 머물며 자립 기반을 다지는 핵심 거점이 될 전망이다.
청양읍 읍내리에 자리 잡은 ‘함께살아U’는 지하 1층에서 지상 3층 규모로 건립되었다. 시설 1층은 입주민들이 자유롭게 소통할 수 있는 커뮤니티 라운지와 관리사무소가 들어섰으며, 2층과 3층은 각각 남성과 여성 전용 주거 공간으로 분리해 운영한다.
특히 총 20호실의 개별 기숙사와 함께 공유주방, 공용세탁실을 갖춰 개인의 사생활 보호와 공동체 생활의 이점을 동시에 누릴 수 있도록 설계한 점이 특징이다.
입주 대상은 청양군에 거주하거나 전입 예정인 18세부터 45세 사이의 무주택 1인 가구 청년이다. 월 사용료는 인근 시세보다 현저히 저렴한 15만 원 수준으로 책정되어 청년들의 경제적 부담을 대폭 낮췄다.
