충남 당진시가 돌봄 최일선에서 근무하는 장기요양기관 종사자들의 처우 개선과 안전한 근무 환경 조성을 위해 파격적인 지원책을 내놨다.
당진시는 올해부터 상해보험료 전액 지원과 직무수당 지급을 골자로 한 처우 개선 사업을 본격 추진하며 돌봄 서비스의 질적 향상을 도모한다.
당진시는 2026년 신규 사업으로 ‘장기요양기관 종사자 상해보험료 지원사업’을 도입했다. 이번 사업은 업무 수행 중은 물론 일상생활에서 발생할 수 있는 상해 사고로부터 종사자들을 보호하기 위한 장치다.
지원 대상은 관내 71개 장기요양기관에서 주 40시간 이상 근무하는 종사자 1,142명이다.
보험 보장 기간은 2026년 3월 1일부터 1년간이며, 상해 사고 발생 시 의료비를 사고당 최소 50만 원에서 최대 3,000만 원까지 보장받을 수 있다.
특히 시는 종사자가 부담해야 할 보험료 본인부담금을 전액 지원하기 위해 1,142만 원의 예산을 투입함으로써 현장의 경제적 부담을 완전히 없앴다.
