몰타에서 NPO 신청을 준비 중이다. 이메일로 문의를 보내고,
몇 가지 질문을 거친 끝에 서류 신청 허가를 받았다.
그런데 안내받은 내용이 만만치 않다.
법안, 이사회, 장소, 예산 계획까지 요구사항이 복잡하게 나열돼 있다.
우리 클럽은 늘 기부만 하고, 회비나 모임 수입은 없다.
그런 상황에서 외국인인 나와 비서는 노터리 공증까지 받아야 하고,
서명도 여러 번 해야 한다.
승인이 되면 구체적인 혜택이 무엇인지는 아직 불분명하다.
그럼에도 공신력을 높이고, 클럽 이미지를 만들기 위해 절차를 진행하고 있다.
솔직히 말하면 머리가 아프다. 서류 작성, 공증, 각종 서명
번거롭고 시간도 많이 든다.
기부를 받고 대외 활동을 활발히 하는 단체라면 수월할 수도 있지만,
우리처럼 모든 비용과 절차를 혼자 해결하는 클럽에게는 꽤 귀찮은 일이다.
그럼에도 일단 준비는 시작했다. 승인 여부는 미지수지만,
서류를 하나씩 맞춰가는 과정에서 생각보다 많은 것을 배우고 있다는 점은 부인할 수 없다.
Preparing to register an NPO in Malta. Sent an email,
went through a few questions, and finally got permission to submit the application.
But the instructions are far from simple—laws, board members,
location, budget plans—all laid out in a way that makes your head spin.
Our club only handles donations. No membership fees,
no income from meetings. And because both the secretary
and I are foreigners, we need notary certifications and multiple signatures.
What the approval actually gets us is still unclear.
Yet, we go through the process to boost credibility and build the club’s image.
Honestly, it’s exhausting. Preparing documents, getting notarized,
and signing countless forms
is tedious and time-consuming.
Clubs that accept donations and run public events probably have it easier,
But for us, handling everything ourselves is a bit of a pain.
Still, we’ve started preparing. Whether approval comes or not is unknown,
But the process itself is teaching more than expected.

承認されても具体的なメリットはまだ不明。
しかし、信頼性を高め、クラブのイメージを作るために手続きを進めている。
正直言って、頭が痛い。書類作成、公証、数え切れない署名…手間も時間もかかる。
寄付を受けたり、対外的な活動を行うクラブなら楽だろうが、
私たちはすべて自分でやらなければならず、少々面倒だ。
それでも、準備は始めた。
承認されるかどうかは未知数だが、
この過程自体が思った以上に多くを教えてくれる。
