브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 오는 15일부터 10일간 국내 장제 전문인력 양성을 위한 장제 아카데미 2기 교육생을 모집한다.
국내 유일의 장제사 양성기관으로 지정된 한국마사회는 아카데미 과정을 통해 장제사를 꿈꾸는 이들에게 교육기회를 제공, 매년 국가자격 취득자를 배출해 오고 있다.
서류 및 면접심사를 통해 최종 선발되면 오는 4월부터 12월까지 한국마사회 장제소에서 장제사 및 수의사로부터 국가자격 취득을 위한 체계적 교육을 제공받게 된다. 만 17세 이상의 우리 국민 누구나 지원가능하며 교육비는 무료다.
교육과정은 장제학, 말해부생리, 말 관련 상식 및 법규와 같은 이론과정과 말 장제, 단조작업 등 실기과정으로 구성된다. 말산업 전반에 대한 이해도 증진을 위해 말과 경마에 대한 교육뿐만 아니라, 말동물병원과 경마시행 현장 등의 견학 기회도 주어진다.
한편, 일반 국민들을 대상으로 장제사라는 이색 직업을 홍보하고 예비 장제전문인력을 발굴하기 위한 ‘2026년 한국마사회 장제캠프’ 참가자도 모집한다.
장제이론, 마체구조 등 이론수업과 함께 편자수정 및 제작실습을 병행하게 될 동 캠프는 주말 중 일일캠프 형식으로 운영돼 직장인이나 학생도 쉽게 참여할 수 있다. 단, 내실있는 운영을 위해 회차당 참가인원은 6명으로 제한된다.
