대전 대덕구청장 선거에 출마 예정인 김찬술 예비후보가 지역 주민들의 생생한 목소리를 듣기 위해 분야별 간담회를 연이어 개최하며 정책 수립의 토대를 마련하고 있다.
지난해 말부터 시작된 이 간담회들은 여성·복지·산업·도시정비·상권 등 생활 전반의 현안을 체계적으로 짚어내고 있다.
지난해 12월 여성정책 간담회에서는 출산 후 산모 관리 부담, 조부모 돌봄의 현실적 어려움, 초기 양육 지원 확대 등 일상 속 여성들의 애로사항이 쏟아졌다.
이어 문화·예술 분야에서는 전시·공연 공간 부족과 지역 축제 연계 미흡, 청년·청소년 참여 확대 필요성이 공통 의견으로 모아졌다. 문화 활동이 일회성 행사를 넘어 지역 일상에 스며들어야 한다는 지적도 이어졌다.
복지 분야 간담회에서는 발달장애인 자립 지원 과정의 미비점과 복지 수급자들의 근로 참여 장벽, 현장 인력 부족 문제가 날카롭게 제기됐다.
산업단지 논의에서는 환경·주차 문제와 업종 규제 완화가, 재개발·재건축 자리에서는 공사비 폭등과 절차 지연, 기반시설 정비 미흡이 화두였다. 최근 소상공인 간담회에서도 골목상권 활성화와 주차·교통 개선, 행정 지원의 연속성 문제가 반복적으로 언급됐다.
이 간담회들에서 드러난 문제들은 분야를 초월해 공통 패턴을 보였다. 제도와 현장의 괴리, 복잡한 행정 절차, 정책 집행의 단절성 등이 지역 전체를 아우르는 구조적 과제로 확인됐다. 생활과 복지, 산업과 도시정비, 상권 문제들이 서로 연결된 하나의 생태계임을 확인한 셈이다.
김찬술 예비후보는 "각 분야 전문가와 주민들의 생생한 경험을 통해 대덕구의 일상을 새롭게 조망할 수 있었다"며 "이 의견들을 면밀히 검토해 실효성 있는 정책으로 발전시키겠다"고 밝혔다.
그는 "특정 이슈에 국한되지 않고 다양한 계층을 지속적으로 만나 지역 전체의 목소리를 반영하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
