[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시가 청년행정인턴들이 현장을 직접 체험함으로써 시정에 대한 폭넓은 이해를 돕고, 실무 역량을 강화하기 위한 교육 과정의 일환으로 소통간담회를 개최했다고 6일 밝혔다.
간담회에서는 인턴들이 현장에서 느낀 실무 경험을 공유하고, 청년 정책 및 시정 발전을 위한 다양한 의견을 나누었다.
이어 거제시 삼거동에 위치한 ‘거제 치유의 숲’시설을 방문해 다양한 숲 체험 프로그램을 직접 확인하고, 산림 휴양 행정 서비스의 현장과 산림자원 활용 방안에 대한 설명을 들었다.
한 인턴은 “담당 부서 업무 외에 산림 휴양시설을 직접 돌아보니 시 행정이 시민의 삶에 어떻게 기여하는지 깊이 이해할 수 있는 계기가 되었다”고 소감을 전했다.

◆ '거제섬꽃축제' 경상남도 지정 문화관광축제 선정
거제섬꽃축제가 경남도 지정 문화관광축제로 선정돼 향후 2년간 매년 5,000만원의 도비 보조금을 지원받게 됐다.
2006년 시작돼 올해로 20회를 맞는 거제시 대표 축제인 거제섬꽃축제는 2017년부터 6년 연속 경상남도 대표 문화관광축제로 선정된데 이어 올해 또 문화관광축제로 선정되면서 거제시를 넘어 경상남도를 대표하는 축제임을 다시 한번 입증했다.
올해 개최되는 ‘제20회 거제섬꽃축제’는 10월 31일부터 11월 8일까지 9일간 거제시농업기술센터에서 열릴 예정이다.
가을꽃 전시를 비롯해 거제현령 부임 행차 재현, 지역 문화예술인들의 전시·공연 등 다양한 볼거리와 즐길 거리를 마련해 전국 단위 축제로 도약하기 위한 준비에 박차를 가하고 있다.
