<브레이크뉴스 태백 = 김일웅 기자> 강원도 태백시가 2026년 새 학기를 맞아 우리 아이들의 안전한 등굣길 사수를 위해 팔을 걷어붙였다.
태백시는 지난 5일 황지초등학교 앞 어린이 보호구역(스쿨존) 일대에서 유관기관과 손잡고 '아이 먼저' 교통안전 현장 캠페인을 대대적으로 펼쳤다고 6일 밝혔다.
이번 합동 캠페인에는 태백시청을 비롯해 태백경찰서, 황지초등학교 관계자, 그리고 지역 사회의 든든한 파수꾼인 태백시 안전보안관 등 30여 명이 총출동했다. 이들은 이른 아침부터 등굣길 교통안전 지도를 진두지휘하며 보행 안전 수칙을 적극적으로 홍보했다.
시는 지난달 27일부터 오는 28일까지를 '새 학기 어린이 안전 집중 홍보 기간'으로 못 박고, 행정안전부와 보폭을 맞춰 다각적인 홍보전에 돌입했다. 캠페인의 핵심은 △아이 안전 먼저 △아이 건강 먼저 △아이 성장 먼저 △아이 정서 먼저 등 4대 메시지를 지역 사회 곳곳에 전파하는 것이다.
