[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥오이도박물관이 대한민국역사박물관이 주관하는 2026년 근현대사박물관 협력망 지원사업에 최종 선정되어 국비 1,000만 원을 확보했다.
이번 사업은 문화체육관광부 산하 대한민국역사박물관이 전국 박물관을 대상으로 추진하는 공모사업으로 올해는 전국에서 총 8개 기관이 선정됐다.
시는 시화지구 개발과 산업단지 조성 등 지역의 변화상을 대한민국 근현대사 흐름과 연결하여 해석하는 교육 프로그램을 제시해 높은 평가를 받았다. 이에 따라 시흥오이도박물관은 오이도가 섬에서 육지로 변화한 지형적 특성과 어업 및 염업과 공업화 등 근현대 생활상의 변화를 교육 소재로 활용한 가족 참여형 지역사 연계 교육을 개발한다.
새롭게 개발되는 프로그램은 초등학생 동반 가족이 보드게임과 활동지를 통해 지역사를 자연스럽게 이해할 수 있는 참여형 수업 방식으로 운영된다. 제작된 교구재는 교육 이후 가정에서도 활용할 수 있도록 구성하여 학습 효과를 높일 방침이다.
