대전 유성구가 저탄소 생활 실천을 지역 나눔으로 연결하는 ‘에너지 선순환’ 모델을 연중 추진한다. 에너지 절감 인센티브를 취약계층 지원에 환원하며 기후 대응과 사회적 가치를 동시에 실현한다.
유성구는 탄소중립포인트제를 활용해 온실가스 감축 실적에 따른 인센티브를 유성구 행복누리재단으로 기부, 지속 가능한 선순환 구조를 정착시킨다. 구청 직원부터 참여를 독려하며 부서별 가입 현황을 실시간 점검한다.
13개 동 직능단체 대상 탄소중립 교육에서 포인트 가입을 현장 지원하고, 기업·공공기관 직장 교육 시 QR코드로 간편 등록을 유도한다. 인센티브 신청 시 ‘기부 참여’를 안내해 취약계층 지원으로 연결한다.
유성구는 2011년 전국 지자체보다 먼저 탄소중립포인트 기부 제도를 도입했다. 지난해까지 4,206명이 참여해 4억 300만 원 이상의 인센티브가 지역사회에 전달됐다.
정용래 구청장은 “탄소중립은 일회성이 아닌 생활화가 핵심”이라며 “실천이 기부로 이어지는 에너지 선순환으로 친환경 도시를 완성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
