충남도가 ‘천안아산 K팝 돔구장’ 건립 프로젝트를 중심으로 해외 투자 유치를 위한 행보에 나섰다.
김태흠 충남도지사는 6일(현지시간) 싱가포르 스위소텔 더 스탬포드 호텔에서 열린 투자유치 설명회에서 현지 주요 화교 기업인과 글로벌 투자자들을 만나 돔구장 조성 계획과 사업 비전을 소개했다.
이번 설명회에는 모화동 F스포츠 프로모션즈, 루이펑캐피털, 통정건축과학기술그룹, 티앙앤파트너스, U&B유한회사 등 다수의 화교계 기업 관계자가 참석해 충남도의 개발 전략에 높은 관심을 표했다.
김 지사는 이 자리에서 충남의 문화·스포츠 인프라 발전 방향과 외국인 투자 협력 방안을 설명하며, 자본 조달 및 운영 파트너십 확대를 제안했다.
충남도가 추진 중인 천안아산 K팝 돔구장은 KTX 천안아산역 인근 25만㎡ 부지에 약 1조 원을 투입해 5만 석 규모로 조성되는 사계절형 복합문화시설이다.
충남도는 2028년 착공, 2031년 준공을 목표로 하고 있으며, 프로야구·축구 등 스포츠 경기와 연 150~200회에 이르는 K팝 공연, 전시, 기업행사 등이 열리는 다목적 공간으로 개발할 계획이다.
김 지사는 “돔구장은 국제 스포츠 대회와 대형 공연을 수용할 수 있는 충남의 핵심 문화·경제 플랫폼”이라며, “글로벌 자본과 리스크를 분담하고, 복합 상업시설·호텔·문화공간을 연계해 지속 가능한 수익 구조를 확보하겠다”고 강조했다.
충남도에 따르면 화교 기업인들은 “한국의 K-콘텐츠와 첨단 교통 인프라를 결합한 모델이 인상적”이라며 “돔구장 조성 과정에서 투자 및 운영 협력 가능성을 적극 검토하겠다”는 뜻을 밝힌 것으로 전해졌다.
