대전시가 우주·로봇 분야 유망 기업 나라스페이스와 라이온로보틱스와 손잡고, 행정·투자·R&D 지원을 연계한 글로벌 전략 거점을 구축한다.
이를 위해 대전시는 9일 시청에서 대전테크노파크·대전투자금융 등과 함께 우주·로봇 핵심 기업들과 업무협약을 맺고, 6대 전략산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 지역 거점화를 추진한다.
협약은 제도·행정 지원(대전시), R&D·기술사업화 네트워크(테크노파크), 투자 확대(대전투자금융)를 통해 기업 성장을 뒷받침하는 데 초점.
코스닥 상장 성공 기업 나라스페이스는 초소형 위성 설계·제작·발사·운영, AI 기반 영상 분석 플랫폼을 제공하는 토탈 솔루션 전문가다.
자체 위성 ‘옵저버-1A’(20x20x40cm, 25kg)는 고해상도(1.5m 이상 식별)로 재난·환경·국토 분야에서 활용되며, 3월 대전테크노파크 IT벤처타운에 R&D센터를 열어 대전을 연구 거점으로 삼는다.
대전 본사 KAIST 스핀오프 라이온로보틱스(황보제민 대표)는 강화학습 AI 사족보행 로봇 ‘라이보2’로 급성장 중이다.
라이보2는 계단·산길·모래밭 등 비정형 지형에서 안정 보행(최대 8시간, 시속 21km)이 가능해 방산·재난·산업 안전 분야에서 주목받았으며, ‘2025 방산혁신기업 100’ 선정·육군 AI·드론봇 챌린지 최우수상 수상 등 성과를 거뒀다.
